Just wanna say hi from Merseyside. Not currently a MPS owner as I've just had my first child :loopy: so it had to be put on hold until the missus goes back to work. Will be purchasing in Feb next year and I'm counting down the days, should have around £7k to spend on a 3 Aero, can't wait!

Why are you going for an MPS.

Yeah will do mate, tbh looked and test drove a 6 mps a couple of years ago but it was an absolute dog and the vvt needed doing so gave it a miss, just never got around to looking again. I fancy a 3 now though, the hatch is more appealing now with a baby and the only reason I wanted the 6 in the first place was the awd but as its predominantly fwd anyway no point lugging the extra weight about for the occasional power out of a corner or traffic light blast.

Hi mate welcome!

Do you know about the face lift mk1?

Has a nicer interior, plus a few extra bits.

I picked up a nice black 3 aero for just over 8k facelift with 20900 miles on the clock.

So for 7k you should get a low mile pre facelift all day.

Cheers for the welcome fella's. Really contemplating cashing in some of my shares at work and buying one now, just done some figures and worked out a 3 MPS would only cost me £100 a month more than my current Volvo S60 D5, this consists of petrol and road tax only, insurance is actually cheaper, all maintenance would be carried out by myself unless electrical. Just got one obstacle THE MISSUS! "we've just had a baby blah blah blah" thing is she's on maternity leave and I’m paying £200 a month for her 2010 Auris what doesn’t even move, my outgoings are lower than hers so she's getting told! :censored: Will only have around £6k now though, £5k cash and around £1k for the Volvo. Just don’t want to rush in and buy a dog.

Thoughts???
