Hello all. Acquired a mk1 3 mps about 6 months ago and I absolutely love it!
Soon after purchasing the car I found this forum and found the info on here invaluable, and well worth the price of membership. So thought it was about time I introduced myself, and also KGB told me too on another thread! :)

The only downside to being a member of this site is that I've found is that I've now started modding...

I've already been looking! Ha ha!
Went via the jbr route for intake and tip, but unfortunately out of stock at the mo...

Must admit I really do love this mazda, masses of torque and an absolute sleeper. No one has heard of it, but everyone is impressed with once they see it go! ;)

I've already looked at the bnr website, and I hear they have a good rep on this forum. Definitely something I'll look st in the future.
At the mo I'm happy with just doing incremental mods to the car, learning as I go.

Can't wait till my jbr parcel arrives, get that fitted with the banjo bolt from total-mps I've already got, and go to the next OTS map on the cobb. Although once I need the hpfp, I'll be giving Gunther a call for a custom map.

Glad I could help!

What would be really helpful for us newbies if there was a guide somewhere on here that outlines various mods and approx power increases etc
As in;
Stock 260 bhp
Stage 1 map 98 octane = ?
Stage 1 map + sri = ?
Stage 1 map + sri + tip ....
Ballpark figures would be ok, as obviously there can be much deviation on different vehicles and mods etc..
Just wondered if was poss!

Your gonna need hpfp internals sooner than you think lol. Ball park figure you'll be at the 300 mark roughly!

Thought about as much...
Certainly shifts now with the cobb, can't wait for the jbr 3" wide path intake system to arrive.
At what stage will I need a hpfp? Some people on here say only with a 2nd decat or downpipe, or is it a case of sooner the better?
I recorded on the cobb a peak of 1790psi, which I thought was a bit high!

Hi knight rider.
I must ask, are you a rep for sure or something? Looks like you've got their entire catalogue on your car!
My car feels quick to me, your all running 300+ I'm guessing...
They must feel indecently fast!

From what I've read you should get the hpfp internals with all the mods your planning.
