Hi all, after much consideration ive decided to get rid of my beloved BMW330ci sport & get something new & slightly more kiddie friendly.
As youve probably guessed, ive now got my heart set on a maz6 mps (look better than a vec vxr & much less common than a wrx!)
I was wondering, other than the obvious with any car, is there anything specific to look/listen out for when looking at these??

Also, were any of these pre £400 road tax, or am i just gonna have to bite the bullet lol!
Also, what real world mpg do most people acheive?

Sorry for the questions, any response would be greatly appreciated ta :)

Baz

Hello ad a big :welcome:
Search about in here about the turbo and VVT, both rare but not unheard of problems.

There are some £270 tax 6's knocking about, though these are like rocking horse poo :)

As mpg, on a stock 6 your looking at 25mpg ish round town and high 30's on a run, it's been known to break the 40mpg mark too.

Thanks for the quick response guys, thanks for the link too remix.
Mpg is about what i was expecting then, 'spose for the sake of a couple hundred pounds im best searching for the best in my budget rather than cheapo tax models then!
Just had a nosey at the gallery, glad to see quite a few peeps do subtle mods to their cars, i always tend to have windows done, airbox drilled for a bit of noise & then lowered for a nice stance, plan for the maz to be no different when i get one either :)

The r/t rates are £280 and £470.

I have oem 6 and I only get 20 in towns and 30 on a run. I do not drive it hard.

Hello and :welcome:
I get 24-26mpg and drive slowly with the odd blast, I've never seen over 30mpg... And never under 20mpg so can't complain :)

Other than that welcome mate :-)

Welcome mate. Have you thought about the MK2 3 MPS? The road tax is £270 a year. I've got a 7 month old daughter. Great family car and grunt for when on your own
