Hi, I have just purchased a 2006 Mazda 6 mps, I'm wondering if anyone had it previously on here, Registration of the vehicle is - ov06snz My reason for this I have had a look under the bonnet and there are some aftermarket parts fitted, I've contacted versatuner to enquirer about purchasing tuning software, but they say that the vehicle has already had versatuner software purchased for it and for me to get the license I need to contact the previous owner so they can send them an email so versatuner can transfer. Do you have previous owners name on log book..... Would help narrow it down. I can give you the download link to the Versatuner software if you give me the VIN number..... You would still need a cable to connect laptop to car though.

I don't have previous owners name, can I still download it even if i give you the vin number as it's already got one registered to it? Where can i get a cable from?

The kinks are pretty uniform, other than your VIN. AS for a Cable you can buy them direct from Versa:https://www.versatuner.com/features/mazdaspeed-6-mazda-6-mps-gen1 $300 mind :( They did ship mine from wihtin Europe tho  Alternatively afaik any J2534 cable will do, I believe some on here got cheaper ones on eBay

Is the previous owners name not on the Reg document slip, that you get when you buy a car?

I've purchased this car from the op, quite cheap too considering he's my son. So a quick update regarding the previous owner who installed versatuner, after quite some time searching the forum we found him a guy called Richard Shortland username Rich_cheshire. Now all that's left is to buy a tactrix cable and a hpfp so the fun can begin.
