Hi All - My last Mazda was an RX-8 Kuro that I just got too frustrated with over tax and petrol costs and switched to a Honda Civic 1.8. Well after 2 years of decent fuel economy I missed some zoom-zoom and so have bought a 2010 MPS minus nav, rear parking sensors and no blue lighting (I did some research on the car first!). So far, it's all I wanted (well could always hope for slightly better economy but hey, it's not a rotary). I've got a coupe of quirks though, character building in the way an Alfa owner would talk about them. The rear tyres are really badly cupped. I had them balanced and swapped to the front only to then realise what was wrong and closely look at them. Not seen anything like that before. Surprised as I think that is usually a shock problem but the rear of the car is rock solid with me trying to bounce the car. Then last night in a long rain storm I have a wet A pillar on the passenger side... Quirks aside and some new tyres next month, I'm very happy with my choice! I've been a heavy honda/mazda guy with some time spent running Dodge/Chysler Neon ACRs for amateur road course racing in US. Looking forward to bringing back some of those fun times on the back roads. Still - want to fix the tyres and the leak! Simon

Welcome. Has the car had a new windscreen at any point? Sounds like some bushes might need replacing in the rear.

I took off the visors and handles, peeled back the ceiling trim and poured some water down the edge of the screen. It leaked in fast. Can't spot much else for now but managed to stop the leak with a little black electrical tape along the external window seal. It looks to me like I'll need to get the windscreen refitted. On the bushings, with a wheel in the air would you notice play or be able to spot the wear? thanks!
