Hi All, Had a look at an '09 Cx-7 with 22,000 miles. Very nice car but noticed a constant ticking noise which seemed to come from half way down the passenger side of the engine. See link (if it works) https://mail-attachment.googleuserconte ... U18_t8__R0It sounds much louder in the clip than it is on the car. I have been browsing here before looking at cars and I am aware of the vvt issues but I would appreciate some expert input before I commit myself. Chris

I have just checked my phone and realised that I attached the wrong sound clip. If you listened to it you were hearing the sound of a massive bearing failure on my Rx-8. The correct file is here; https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui=2& ... sp=safe&zwSorry for any inconvenience.

Wait for confirmation but I think the fuel pump ticks away on the passenger side.

Thanks for your input guys, picking the car up tomorrow. Be interesting to compare it with the Rx-8 regarding driving experience.
