So I decided to put "Daisy" up for sale on sunday night.

Took the usual mandatory photo's and stuck an advert up on the trader, eBay and gumtree.

09 Plate Mk1 Aero in White, 54k, few extra bits, on a custom plate (V16 MPS) - started at 6,995 and dropped to 6,599

In the last few days though I actually felt utterly gutted and upset thinking about see'ing her go.

Every-time someone enquired I was secretly hoping they wouldn't be interested and to make matters worse most of the guys enquiring where previous MPS owners that regretted ever getting rid in the first place.. some as recent as two weeks ago!

Sod this, why the hell am I getting rid I thought, to save a few quid or to try to beat the depreciation curve? so I've finally come to my senses and realised your never going to beat the depreciation curve and your always going to lose money on cars, but so what! Thats what I go to work for to enjoy life's little pleasures, otherwise whats the point!

Anyway, I'm not really sure what the point of this post was but I just thought I'd share my experience of nearly losing the one I love (hopefully the misses doesnt see this!)

This was a very spoke about car on facebook today, Darren, who had his 3 mk mps written off due to a rear end shunt was looking to buy this.

Ah glad to hear it, really sorry to Darren. Spoke to him on the phone this morning, seams like a nice chap and very knowledgable. Told me a few things I didn't previously know and has inspired me to give Daisy a bit more due care and attention, beyond her usual services, etc! So I'll probably be loitering around here a bit more now...

I just couldn't bring myself to do it though! Nothing else I looked at really compared and I didn't fancy a downgrade to some hairdressers car!

I hope Darren gets sorted with something soon though, I feel his pain. Please send him my regards..
