Hi all, My name is Ben, I'm 33 and live in Fareham near Portsmouth. I currently drive an astra diesel estate but have been offered a 56 plate mk1 mazda 3 mps to swap with. I've always been a fan of them so will be going ahead with the deal after my car has been MOT'd tomorrow. Here is my astra: The engine on the 3 seems a little noisy? Is this normal? There are no timing chain or VVTi noises, it just sounds a little bit tappy of that makes any sense? I'll have another proper look over it on Saturday but looking forward to having a fun car again! Ben

Welcome to the forum bud.
What mileage does it have? Do you have a link to the car just in case someone on here nos anything about it. Has it had the vvt/chain done? What's the service history? Make sure it's had the 3k service as that's an important service.

Hello and welcome! Nice looking Astra. Lowered presumably. As said, a link/reference to the car would help to identify it, that is whether or not it will be worth proceeding with the deal. Are you aware of the road tax?

Cheers for the welcome! I'm going to have another look over it tomorrow. Here is the link to the swapz advert: http://www.swapz.co.uk/swapz/4783370/Mazda_3_mps/I aware of the high road tax which is worth it IMO to have a fun car again. All opinions of the car are welcome. Ben
