Hello All,
Just got a 56 plate 6 MPS. Bought from a dealer for 8900. Car in silver, was de-badged but I bought some new ones from SG Petch online. Not a bad price but the postage was a bit on the steep side (15 quid!!), and they wanted to charge more for the MPS badge as it was for a 6 not a 3. They were after £12 for the MPS emblem from the Mazda 3 section but asked a rather outrageous £23 for putting it in the 6 MPS section. Needless to say I only parted with 12 quid.
Really enjoying the car - I had a Focus ST2 (company car) previously, but preferring the performance of the Mazda. One query though - I seem to vaguely recal reading somewhere that the front tyres can wear out unevenly. Mine look to be going on the outer edges. Anybody else had an issue with this?
Thanks
Greg

Just take it down for a full 4 wheel alignment. You can still get heavy wear on the tyre outer shoulder from hard cornering where the 45 profile tyres deform under heavy load. Going from 215 /45 to 225 / 40 reduces this a lot.

Thanks for this. I shall do that and report back on what they say the propblem was. Hopefully it's not hard cornering as it was an old fella that had the car before me (according to the dealer - maybe they say this to about all cars they flog  ).
