Hi All,

I have just joined forum and need some advice please. Great site by the way.

I am currently car shopping at present and its been a bit of a struggle to try and find my next car. I currently have a Type R which will be going back at end of month. My previous car before this was Focus ST-3 (5 door) which i really enjoyed every moment of driving unlike the Type R. I did nearly buy an MPS mk2 before the Type R and have sort of regretted this ever since because I missed the turbo and the torque. So for me I have decided instead of buying a practical 2nd hand expensive Audi, BMW or a sensible 5 door diesel hatch (not buying brand new anymore), I do really like the 3 MPS mk2 mainly because of the looks, practicality, what spec is on the car as standard and not forgetting the power :) I feel its going to be money well spent and be a very proud owner albiet the fuel and road tax costs but it is similar to the cars I have owned in the past so no real issue there.

I have not yet driven an MPS and cant wait to do so and know this to be a silly question being on this forum :mpsoc: but what are they like to live with daily with regards to running costs etc and if there are any issues I need to be aware of when buying?
I am from North East (England) and it seems like there are not many 2nd hand for sale near me so I would have to travel and having owned red (current) and black cars before I want a change of colour so White and Grey are my preference.

Sorry waffling on a bit now!

Anyway any feedback will be gratefully appreciated and I hope to have some pics on to show you guys of my purchase hopefully by the end of this month.

I have done the exact same as you fella gone from pcp deals on new to a two year old deal and not looked back. Only regret didn't get one sooner. :)

30mpg on motorway 25 mpg round town and 15 mpg when you are on it. :mosh:

15 mpg sounds low but when you drive it near its limits you will see why

£75 will get you roughly 200 miles in a mk2 with town driving and that's not really pushing it but you may get a few more miles in a standard un modded mps and I think before mods I was getting nearly 250 miles from a tank of fuel town driving.
If you can afford the fuel their really is no car in this sector that will touch the mps and if you have a remap the car really is something else.

Only real bad point on a mk2 is its easy to mod and this can become addictive especially on this site. :D

Good luck with your search.
