Hi everybody!
Ive been having a roam around the forum for about a month now and have just put a deposit down on a Mazda 6 MPS :horns:
Here is my little story..

Literally been frying my brain trying to think of a performance car with a comfy interior, good looks, nice to drive and not a scooby. MPS caught my eye but asked a few mates n they hadn't heard much about them, just told me the usual commercial mainstream cars.. get a scooby, evo, skyline, silvia ect ect
After whittling my choices down 1 by 1 over countless hours searching reviews, specs, wiki, OC's i went to view a mazda 6 mps i had my eye on and Wow! my mind was clear.. i must own it!!

So yea.. a little poo came out on the test drive it was damn fast n I've owned a Celica gt4 and Galant vr4, deposit went down, hands were shaken and i shall be picking up my new MPS tomorrow evening :D
That was my not so exciting story, will hopefully become a member of mpsoc once Ive got the car and Ive calmed down abit.

So.. Hello to you all and cannot wait to become an honorary member of the MPSOC :mpsoc:

Very excited! not gna sleep tonight :P
Colour: is a grey/silver kinda like a light gunmetal.
Mileage: 62k
the mods ive been told about are: a cold air intake (cork..something), turbo inlet, forge dump valve, versatune ecu, tinted rear windows and the spoiler and mirrors have been wrapped.

I don't like different colour parts so will probably take them back to stock, 1st things 1st are making sure everything is running nice and smooth, a new exhaust would be nice but abit pricey for the moment.
I really like the black decal that runs along the bottom of the door that says MPS within it and the little black decals on the bonnet bulge. kinda reminds me of a VXR8 with a couple of subtle decals.

Don't wanna go too crazy on the engine.. would rather reliability over performance.

I shall get pics tomorrow evening as long as its not too dark. ty for the warm welcome :)

Corksport is your intake then
Was this a previous members car then by the sounds of it?

Versatune already on, nice, it come with the cable? I assume the seller has told versatune and changed the details to you etc?

If possible mate, could you change what car you have in your profile and also a rough location, it helps us help you in future etc.

Hi and welcome

if it is one of the forums ex cars then you lucky sod you, should already be mapped quite nicely and will save you having to spend on peformance mods (for a start at least).

On the 3's we can take out the centre silencer in the exhaust for more noise, no doubt one of the 6 lads will be along to confirm this if it is the same for the 6. Its much easier and cheaper than getting a whole cat back

Hello and welcome. :)

From your description I would say that it could be a members car as I remember seeing a picture of the stripes you describe, either that or it a 'copy' of one on here.

Back from picking up my MPS! unfortunately terrible weather, terrible sense of direction and a fair amount of traffic put a stop to most of the fun but it was mighty comfortable and the few clear lanes did allow me to put the foot down and get that awesome almost instant power no matter the gear.

an extra mod to add was a high pressure fuel pump or something like that, as well as a forge dump valve and a parrot kit. Apparently it is mapped and i have been given the cable also.
The guy who owned it was registered to the OC but i don't think he was a member as he said he just liked to look around the forum for inspiration n such.

I will get pictures in the morning when its brighter and hopefully sunnier, i don't think the pictures will match to any member car as he changed the reg plate to "**** MPS" around Christmas time.

Overall i am super happy with the car, i will need to get used to the clutch as its very sensitive compared to my old Celica GT4 and I've never owned a car with 6 gears so getting the right gear for certain speeds is abit tricky atm

Got round to giving the MPS a proper good clean, detail n wax.. decided against polish as it was pretty damn hot so here are some pics of my new pride and joy (hope they work) :

I have also signed up as a full Member now :mpsoc:

2 things I've noticed with the car not sure if its normal;
1. She seems to idle at about 2k rpm on first start up for about 20 seconds then settles down to 1k, i know a lot of cars do but it seems to stay at 2k for a fair amount longer than any other car Ive owned.
2. My high beams seem to have been replaced with the Bat Signal.. i get no extra visibility over the standard bi-xenon's they just light up the trees and passing planes, doesnt seem to be a thing to adjust the lights.
