Can I fit 8" wide alloys with a 40 offset on my 6?

I have a 245 tyre on 8 rim offset I can remember might of been 40 or 38 will check

245 on an 8J??

I wouldn't even fit 245 on 9J.

Aren't they a bit ballooned?

So does anyone have the answer to weather I could fit a 40 offset alloy? Car isnt lowered by the way
