I'd expect you would need to call with postcode and stuff for a proper quote

If you can leave it parked up for a while try setting the start date of policy to a few weeks or a month from now. I've found in the past you effectively get scammed if you want to be covered immediately.

Thats a great point, I saved almost total £200 by delaying the insurance to a month later. They even try scamming you when you try transferring insurance between cars, even if the new car is less bhp/smaller engine!

yeah I know about delaying about few days/weeks but this time isn't working on me :p now in my currently companyI have £49 a month for mazda 3 sport but they won't insure me on mps due to young age and powerful car and Im forced to cancel that policy.

Phone all the insurance specialists who advertise on this forum.
several ways of reducing premium. Parking it at a better postcode, doing fewer miles, getting one of your parents on as a named driver.

at the end of the day there is a reason that underwriters dont like young people in powerful cars, but some people pay a lot more than the prices you have quoted.

£120 a month....fuck that. The MPS isn't worth paying that much a month. Try all the specialist insurance companies and if you can't get it lower sell the car as £1440 a year is just ridiculous. You'd have a massive suprise if you tried to insure any other performance car as the MPS is one of the cheapest. An example being my old 163hp S60 D5 cost £400 a year but my 320hp 6 costs £300....

I had s60 2.0T 180km before and paid £180 a month so £120 for mps is nice price anyway I think :)

@edit: solved, found for £85/month, just add my gf as second driver.

That's generally a good way to reduce your quote a bit. If you don't have a gf, wife, etc you can add your mum and that has the same effect.
