Firstly hello all, good to be here

I've been an Gen1 3 MPS owner for just over a year and it's an awesome car.

My brother is also looking to buy and is interested in the reg no. listed in subject: FY09 KLJ

Its been modded with a short ram intake, uprated top mount intercooler, BOV, exhaust and HPFP internals. The current owner states he has a receipt for a COBB access port but this was not supplied with the car when he obtained it.

So the questions really are does anyone here know the car, and if the car has been mapped previously and is still mapped, can this be removed/altered without knowing who it was mapped by?

I'm not familiar with your car, but if it has been mapped by a Cobb AP, then you will need a Cobb AP to get the map of, or to get it remapped.

I'm pretty sure you could borrow someone's Cobb AP (once its unmarried from their car) to remove the map on your car.

With the mods on your car, the next stage is a re-map, but I'm guessing the previous owner sold the Cobb AP when he got rid of the car, as they are worth about £400 second hand. And I'd also guess he removed the map out of the car before he sold it, as the Cobb AP is useless to anyone else until its unmarried from a car.
