So this,

happened to this,

so I went and bought this!

I can't figure out how to add an inline image, the Choose from Dropbox button doesn't seem to work when I select a file from it, maybe I need a certain post count?.. anyway...

I've been eyeing up the 6 MPS for ages now, as you can see I joined the forum 2 years ago! Never really felt I had the money, then a couple of weeks ago in the snow I stopped at a zebra crossing, the car behind me didn't. So it was a case of either buying a £500 stopgap car or biting the bullet, which I did and now have a lovely 73k mile MPS :)
I had the Astra for 10 years, it was completely standard when I bought it and am hoping to keep the MPS for a long time too, styling it in a similar fashion and keeping it in top nick.
When I bought it the main thing I was worried about was the rusty underside, but the salesman said he'd get it cleaned down and coated so I went for it. After that it had it's MOT, passed with 1 advisory, corrosion on the chassis/subframe... The coating looks good but there must be some areas they didn't get to, and I don't know how well it was prepared beforehand. I was thinking of taking it to a rust specialist and getting their opinion on it, I've found there is somewhere near to me.
So hopefully me and my MPS will be perusing this forum for a long time to come!

What do I need to read past post 1 in threads? I may become a paid up member but not immediately.

Every thread in the main subforums I can read the 1st post, then all the following posts say I have to have a higher post count or be a member to see.
