1) go to each window individually, drop it an inch or so, go back up and hold the switch up till a little click is heard, that resets that window to work with the drivers switches.

2) you can't just (well, shouldn't) replace one part, replace the whole lot as all the parts bed in together and some parts are a one time use only, such as the friction washers and bolt.

3) sadly, pretty common

4) very likely the pipe has corroded, again, common.

5) hmmmm, stumped sorry

3) For me I had a few issues contributing to this.

a) The universal joint in the steering column. It has forward/backward and up down movement and the grease they used had hardened to chalk. Move it up down and in out to break up the old grease and then re-grease. That made the feedback much less clicky.

b) There was some play in one of my wheels. I was advised to replace the whole hub but during dismantling they found it to be a loose clip/nut in the hub (I could find the correct details if you were interested)

c) Front wheel arch linings. Both of mine had come loose from the under-tray / front bumper and on full lock would interfere with the steering.

4) My re-gas showed no leak but only lasted 2 days. I've not found out the cause/location but people say that "pipes 1 and 2" running along the passenger side corrode due to water in the foam and leak. The pipes are under £100 the pair from Mazda but I'm told that fitting requires removal of the front bumper and I couldn't justify the labour charge to fit.

£1700 !!!! I can't even..... Just wow.
It's a £500-600 job with parts included !

Feeling the chain would do anything as depending where cylinders 1&3 are, can determine the play.

The 2 air con pipes that go on the 6 are connected to the right hand side of the condenser as you look from the front to the back of the car. Common problem.
