Hi everyone, just became the proud owner of a black 06 6 series mps. Just a staggering car, i am truly impressed. I came from an impreza and the mps beats it hands down. Just one thing i would like some advice with pls, i feel that the brakes let it down, no problem getting the speed up but confidence is lacking under braking, it has standard brakes and pads and i would appreciate any advice. After looking on this forum it seems Mintex might be the way to go.
By the way i put 2 new mid range 215's on the front today for £ 110 each, good price i think, i am in the enfield herts area if anyone wants the adress of the tyre place, i will give you the name to drop to get that price.
Once again, what a car, who knew !

Hello and :welcome: . Yes the brakes are awful, there is a distinct lack of pads/disc available in the UK , in fact pretty much everything has to be imported from OZ or the US. Pop a post up in MPS 6 technical

Don't understand the criticism of the brakes on the 6MPS. I think the OEM's (2006) are superb. Aren't they the same on the 3MPS? Never heard a criticism of those either.

How are you finding the Falken tyres bud, i had them on a previous car, but wasn't sure how they would cope with the power of the mps

Missed your question, no the 3 and the 6 have different calipers. The 6 MPS calipers are tiny in comparison to the 3 MPS items. Shame really as the 6 MPS could do with the larger calipers but the 6 MPS is older, probably the reason why they never made it onto the 6 as they may not have been available in the parts bin at the time of manufacture.
