I have just purchased my first mazda and I must say I am impressed. I am a massive honda enthusiast and still own my 99 mb6 vtis, just couldnt bring myself to sell it. Anyway on to the mazda. 2007 56 plate 6 mps totally standard (for now) 57,000 miles, timing chain and vvt replaced at 54k. Near immaculate and I got it for 4400 which considering all the others I have seen I was very pleased with. So far not a bad word to say about it but still getting used to it. The only thing that has annoyed my is one of the sliding tabs on the roof runners has come off to which I want to replace immediately but I am unsure what they are actually called. Any help would be appreciated.

So what next for the mps. Well as mentioned earlier I am keeping my honda as only 500 were ever built there just aren't many around but with that comes a cost courtesy of the other half to which I quote "if anything goes on that new car that shouldn't be there you are selling the honda" she didn't say much after picking herself up off the floor. That last bit was a joke please don't show her this.

So the battle goes on. Pictures going up soon and if anyone can help me with a name or part number for the roof tabs that would be awesome. I assume they are covers for where a roof rack would go but why the F you'd put a roof rack on that is beyond me.

to the forum buddy. Yes the tiny black covers seem to be a recurring occurrence, I just ordered a couple of replacements. Either they fall off or they being nicked!?

The black covers are easy to put on "backwards", and they aren't very stable that way so could come loose. I had to compare vs the others to get it right.

Welcome along mate, I also came from the Honda scene (ep3). Loved the Honda and still miss it but would miss the brute force and AWD of the MPS more.

I honestly thought the standard 6 was shite, so got modding ASAP (within a week) and have never looked back.
