I previously used the Mazda3 Owners club forum and thought I would jump over and introduce myself.

My names Joe and I recently purchased a MK2 MPS! I live just outside of Aberdeen in Portlethen.

Last Mazda was an 06' Mazda3 Sport 2.0L petrol which I sold in 2010 then moved to a Mk5 Golf GT TDI and now that I don't have to crunch 15k miles a year on commuting I thought I would treat myself to something a bit sportier.

I wanted something with 5 doors, a decent boot for the dog, good performance, well spec'ed and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I originally wanted to buy Martin46's White MPS but I just missed out as I didn't have the funds until the day after he sold it.

I then found a nice example down in Livingston owned by a mechanic, its been meticulously well looked after only doing 29k miles in the past 6 years. The guy had done a few small modification such as upgrading the rear engine mount, turbo inlet pipe, fitting a Jetex CBE and Brembo disks and pads all round.

Just make sure it's got HPFP Internals before you carry on modding, as it's a Mk2 it will definitely need them if you're playing with a COBB and it already has a TIP & Jetex CBE.
