Thanks everyone :-)

I would love to know more about them and what to look out for as regards to weak points etc.

I will only buy the one I consider to be the right one and will then be spending the money on it to get it the way I want it.

Anyone here from Hampshire / Surrey?

Dan

Welcome, you are right to wait for the right one but you may have to travel. They are very rare.

Haha, yeah my nickname is Goose, can't be bad lol.

Yeah, is there somewhere on here I can look at info for the 6 MPS? As in how many were made, colour choices, options available at the time etc so I can get a good overview of what to look for.

I certainly don't mind travelling for the right one, I'm originally from the north east and have mates all over the place so I can always kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

Goose

Haha, well I like how exclusive they are, they are discreet, reasonably powerful, a bit different, cheap insurance and road tax (for early ones) and tuneable!

I would agree the mk1 3`s are more stealthy than the 6. Takes a keen eye to spot a 3MPS.

I was put off by the 2wd-ness of the 3 so opted for the 6.
